This project, carried out by Transversal, provides a view of the phenomenon of witchcraft by highlighting, first of all, the most positive aspects, as an ancestral phenomenon, present in one way or another in all cultures and at all times, related especially to women.
In the first part, an anthropological view is offered highlighting the main customs and beliefs that characterise the phenomenon of witchcraft, basically focusing on Catalonia and, most particularly, on Lluçanès. The second part of the visit is an impressive set-up based on multimedia resources and programming. First of all, an audiovisual introduces an historical dimension and reviews the most outstanding facts. Then, by playing with the lighting, sound, staging and audiovisual images forming an impressive, spectacular whole, a witches' Sabbath is recreated, as well as a witchcraft trial and its sentence.
