The severe problems regarding the state of conservation of the cathedral's basilica, Manresa's main monument, led to a master plan being drawn up to define the architectural work required and, at the same time, to rethink and plan the cathedral from several different perspectives: religion, tourism, culture, society, etc. As part of the Master Plan, Transversal developed the tourism area with a proposal that formed part of Manresa's Strategic Plan for Tourism, organising visits applying criteria of practicality so that the circuits for the public would be in line with the different parts of the monument.
The result was a viable, realistic plan: with a relatively modest amount of investment, the visit to the cathedral was substantially improved and its great potential was optimised, turning it into the main tourist attraction in Manresa.
