Management of Castelldefels Castle

Grup Transversal manages Castelldefels Castle in its entirety, being responsible for the staff, visitor services and for organising the facility's daily activities.
Our task is to bring to life the experiential museography created by Transversal, which is located in the Castle's former stables and focuses on the pirate attacks that used to occur along the coast of Eramprunyà.
As well as running the self-guided and guided tours, we also promote new experiences that connect with a wide range of visitors and boost their interest in the site's heritage. We've created “The Secret Message”, a family-oriented investigation based on a mystery linked to the Castle, and “Detectives at the Castle”, a participatory game in which visitors solve a theft using clues and history. Following its positive reception, this latter initiative has also been adapted for schools.
Managing heritage means creating content, generating a narrative and turning a historic place into an experience that's alive and relevant.
In addition to this, a new educational programme has also been developed and launched for schools, featuring guided and dramatised tours and activities adapted for different educational levels. The programme has been very well received by schools.
