The museographic project for Carrer del Balç raises awareness of a remarkable place, a unique street in Catalonia that conserves all its original medieval magic, and to help people get to know the golden age of the city of Manresa, the 14th century, when large gothic buildings were erected and the city enjoyed the favours of King Pere III.
The museographic project designed by Transversal is based on first-hand experiences in immersive environments and on a narrative flow. A concept in which resources of very different types all interact: 2D and 3D animation; an original soundtrack composed by Francesc Gener; holograms of people appearing in the area accompanied by a minimalist staging; an animated model, alive, to help visitors see scenes of everyday life in the street and the Manresa of guilds and trades; lighting with intent, projections...
All this comes together to create a story that fills the medieval spaces with magic, using the street itself as the setting.
