The project for the Espai Perot Rocaguinarda results from the association of five councils, united under the project Tourism Competitiveness Plan Woods of Witches and Bandits. The Olost visitor centre forms part of this plan but stands out thanks to a very important local story, focusing on the figure of Perot Rocaguinarda, a remarkable, intrepid and decent bandit who was born and acted in the Lluçanès area and who, together with Serrallonga, is the most representative figure of the Catalan bandits. Perot lived a life of legend and inspired works by writers such as Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Verdaguer and Maragall.
With state of the art audiovisual techniques, the Espai Perot Rocaguinarda brings us closer to this person, as well as to the phenomenon of bandits in Catalonia and the most remarkable places in the Lluçanès area. We even get to know the giants of Olost, precisely the bandit Perot and his lover, Mercè Pecanins, and listen to a conversation between them. A journey to the land of the bandits.
