In the town of Martinet i Montellà (Cerdanya) there are still a number of bunkers built by the Spanish army at the end of the Second World War as part of a line of defence throughout the Pyrenees, which Franco planned to defend the country from a possible invasion by allied forces.
Martinet Council wants to promote these bunkers and make them visitable, as part of boosting tourism in the region. This is a resource with great potential due to its unique nature, as there is no other similar proposal in the whole of Spain. Transversal's work started by creating a visitor centre to experience the war first-hand and explain, with an effective installation, the historical context and function of these bunkers, which can be visited afterwards in an outdoor tour.
The proposal is a virtual set-up revolving around a large central set that represents a bunker, onto which audiovisuals are projected to help visitors understand what war was like within a historical situation of great tension.
