Management of Tarragona Cathedral

The Archbishopric of Tarragona commissioned Grup Transversal to manage Tarragona Cathedral, a jewel of Catalan heritage that holds 2,000 years of history within its walls.
The aim of this new management agreement is quantitative in terms of producing a substantial increase in its number of visitors, but also qualitative with the creation of an educational service, guided tours, special tours and the cultural revitalisation of this emblematic temple in Tarragona.
Our success in managing important sites and our constant work in the sector have provided us with great know-how, as well as crucial information on local and international markets, key aspects when defining a results-oriented strategy. The challenge is to position Tarragona Cathedral in line with its importance as a cultural asset and heritage site, as well as to enhance it in commercial terms. The Cathedral stands on the site where the Roman temple of Augustus once stood, in the ancient city of Tarraco, and the visit also includes a tour of the archaeological site and the Diocesan Museum, with its important collection of medieval and modern art.
