An interpretation centre to promote the Way of Saint James (Camino de Santiago) and the city of Pamplona that uses considerable museographic innovations and serves as a model for other centres due to its easy access.
Grup Transversal has inaugurated a new interpretation centre in the city of Pamplona that has become an important tourist destination related to the Way of Saint James in general and Pamplona's tourist sites in particular.
One of the project's most important aspects was the venue's design, as well as the modernity and impact of the museographic resources used. Visitors benefit from a number of interactive displays, LumiSheet light panels, audiovisuals with historical reconstructions, etc. and, at the end, a range of resources based on an immersive multi-projection in a mirrored area.
The final show, called “The way of the stars”, is based on the life of a character from the 15th century, taking visitors back in time to reveal the history of the Camino of Santiago. This is achieved in two ways: by processing images using 2D and 3D resources that make them incredibly expressive, and also by using innovative museographic resources with projections on a large triptych of "magical" mirrors and other back projections that make the centre truly enigmatic. The technology developed here has been provided by Transversal.
