The XATIC (Catalan Network of Industrial Tourism) stand at the SITC (Catalan International Tourism Fair)

The Catalan Network of Industrial Tourism commissioned Transversal Produccions Culturals to create its stand for the Catalan International Tourism Fair (SITC). A space of 25m2 which would combine heritage, tourism, meeting spaces and a store, that would be modern and would draw attention to itself, seeing as its location was not ideal. All of this was to be achieved with a tight budget.

In order to carry out the work, Transversal devised a central totem at a height where it could be seen from many different points in the fair, where the most visible side displayed an audiovisual presentation, drawing attention to the stand. On the edges of this totem, real pieces were set up from our country’s industrial museums, something which gave it a very unique appearance in comparison to the other stands at the fair. The mechanical loom and the wagon particularly attracted many visitors.
