Grup Transversal was commissioned to carry out the museographic project for the gothic rooms of the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Vallbona, located in the county of Urgell.
The aim of the project is to help visitors experience first-hand how the monastery's community actually lived, encapsulating its more than eight centuries of history and recreating different moments, such as the community's origins as a hermitage and the period when the monks worked as apothecaries and had a pharmacy inside the monastery.
To do so, Grup Transversal implemented several actions in a bipartite gothic hall located on the east side of the cloister. A themed plan was produced for the interior that transforms the visit into a meaningful, enlightening experience, making the monastery an attractive resource among Cistercian sites.
