With the help of Grup Transversal, the Casa d’Areny Plandolit Museum has set up a new immersive audiovisual experience so that visitors can relive some of Andorra's contemporary history.
By means of integrating various museographic resources, such as holograms, pictures and magic mirrors, the large hall on the second floor of the building comes to life, giving visitors the chance to travel back to the second half of the 19th century without even moving.
The proposal's story is based on recreating the experiences of Don Guillem d’Areny-Plandolit, a prominent figure from the 19th-century Andorran aristocracy, focusing on the high points in the history of both the family and the country.
At the beginning, visitors can see Don Guillermo sitting at his desk, writing his memoirs. In the background they can hear his thoughts about his life, the house and his family, as well as his inseparable connection to the history of Andorra. As he talks about different events in his life, several surprising resources are activated to immerse visitors in a multisensory experience where they relive the great man's memories.
The session lasts approximately 20 minutes and can be experienced in Catalan, Spanish, French, English and German.
