Management of the Cercs Mine Museum

Grup Transversal's relationship with the Cercs Mines Museum covers various areas. The company has carried out museographic projects in different phases and, as part of its expertise in providing comprehensive services, also took charge of the management of the facility, a task that included managing the personnel, visits and educational service, as well as planning and implementing promotional actions, among other tasks.

There are no longer any working mines in the Berguedà region but the Cercs Mines Museum, which is dedicated specifically to coal mining, tells the story of this economic activity and, at the same time, also explains the relationship between this fossil fuel and the Alt Berguedà region.

The facility has several parts, enabling visitors to get to know the inside of a mine and how the miners used to live and work, as well as explaining open-cast mining and the history of mining in Berguedà by means of ambitious audiovisual montages. It also offers the chance to take part in a spectacular role-playing game.
