An innovative and evocative living nativity scene
2022 saw the third Món Sant Benet Living Nativity Play organised by the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera, the only live nativity in Catalonia that takes place inside a thousand-year-old monastery. Apart from recreating the traditional scenes that can normally be seen in such representations of the nativity (the birth, annunciation, adoration, etc.), this performance also includes a large number of scenes from the Middle Ages, inspired by the daily life of the time and monastic life.
To make it even more surprising, Grup Transversal has designed different scenes for the play in which immersive multimedia resources accompany the performance, making the experience particularly evocative and spectacular.
The Living Nativity Play of Món Sant Benet is the result of a collaboration between a large number of volunteer actors from the region who, every year, help to create a truly magical event.
