Geopark's corner in Sallent

As part of the actions to endorse its geopark status, the organisation responsible for managing the “Mountain of Montserrat” (Patronat de la Muntanya de Montserrat) commissioned Grup Transversal to design and build a museographic structure, called "Geoparks' corner", to raise awareness of the UNESCO Global Geoparks and the work they do, as well as to encourage people to visit them.
Located in the Interpretation Centre for the Geopark of Central Catalonia, in Sallent, this corner acts as a promotional showcase, offering information, images, brochures and products from all members of the European Geopark Network, as well as an educational interactive resource aimed at the families visiting this centre. This interactive resource is divided into three main areas: one highlights the values of the Geoparks, another comprises an interactive map with the thirty points of interest of the Geopark of Central Catalonia, and a third part has a quiz so that visitors can test their knowledge of geology once they’ve visited the Interpretation Centre.
The commission, which included this corner, also included a second, smaller and more versatile version that can be used at other facilities in the Geopark.
