Innovative interactive resources to bring astronomy within everyone's reach

Interactive innovation to bring astronomy to everyone
One of the most relevant aspects of the new interactive museum is the design of the exhibition modules and the museum space, managed by Ámbito 0, characterized by a futuristic aesthetic inspired by the atomic and space eras. Transversal has fully produced this interactive museum, composed of about seventy interactive and audiovisual modules (the museum contains around 700 audiovisual clips), where it has contributed its technological expertise, audiovisual production background, and physical production capabilities, creating disruptive design physical elements. The result is a major operation of advanced museography, due to the large scale of the museum and the challenges posed by the project (design of general interactivity, technical options with state-of-the-art RFID, audiovisual production at different levels, physical interactivity resources combined with electronics, visual effects, dynamic models, etc.). This project offers a unique interactive experience, integrating advanced technology to enhance learning.

The interactive museum is located in Arcos de las Salinas, in the province of Teruel, at the foot of the Javalambre Astrophysical Observatory (OAJ), a scientific facility where large astronomical maps of the sky are made, situated in a place where atmospheric quality is excellent and light pollution is nonexistent. Visiting this museum is not only a journey through the cosmos but also an interactive experience that connects visitors with the fascinating world of astronomy.

In this context, the Centro de Estudios de Física del Cosmos de Aragón (CEFCA) has led this interpretive center to showcase the work of the OAJ and bring the complex world of astronomy closer to the public. The combination of science, technology, and disruptive design makes this place a reference for interactive experiences at both national and international levels.
