Homage to the generation of republicans who transformed Catalonia during the Second Republic
With the aim of restoring the historical memory of a crucial era and in commemoration of the 75 years since the Second Republic was proclaimed, Manresa Council, in collaboration with the Bages Study Centre, organised this exhibition as a homage to a generation of people from Manresa (young and republican) who, moved by ideals of progress, offered up their lives in an attempt to transform the city and Catalonia.
The result is a highly documented exhibition that received a large number of visitors, using examples of original documents from various archives, photographs and graphic material, largely previously unseen, and the publication of a dossier-catalogue. This exhibition was enhanced with a highly elaborated design using some of the most significant characters from the world of politics, culture and trade unionism of the time.
