Mine Museum of Bellmunt del Priorat

Using a summary of the history of lead mining in the Priorat area and an inventory of the heritage resources related to mining, the Master Plan produced by Transversal defines the potential of mining heritage and relates this to other resources in the county. The aim is to go beyond the closed setting of the Mine Museum, also interpreting the countryside and defining the opportunities of mining heritage, revealing its strong and weak points so that Industrial Tourism products can be designed in line with the local situation and combined with the existing tourism resources on offer. The aim was also to define a route map to conserve, raise awareness of and promote the lead mining heritage of Bellmunt and specify the conceptual content that must be defined by the museographic project.
