Chemistry Museum of Tarragona

The Chemistry Museum is the first in Spain specialising in this area. With an area of around 1,000 m2, Transversal's proposal is highly innovative and aims to achieve a two-fold objective: corporate, to spread the values of chemistry; and economic, given that this facility is planning to be a revelation for the port and the city.

New audiovisual technologies, 3D projections, plasma video-walls, interactive devices, etc. are the most relevant features of a proposal that, although it's called a museum, does not contain a collection per se and is very similar to the experiences provided by the science centres that are so successful the world over. Located in the port area of Tarragona, close to the district of Serrallo, the proposal also aims to revitalise the district and provide it with new opportunities to enhance itself.
