A journey through the history of hiking and mountaineering via the senses
On the centenary of the Hiking Centre of the County of Bages, this exhibition was organised in recognition of one of the county's most representative organisations. Obviously, the exhibition also pays homage to the importance of the phenomenon of hiking and mountaineering throughout this time.
The story told is like an ascent to the summit. By means of a set/screen containing different kinds of visual information and projections, the landmarks in the history of hiking are presented: the era of romanticism and the origins of hiking, the first steps taken towards mountaineering and finally conquering the peaks. In this way the exhibition creates a small journey through the history of hiking and mountaineering that involves visitors through their senses.
